In The Stillness
June 19, 2003 by N. Berry

In the stillness of night I pray to the Lord,

He speaks softly to me, in the Light of His Word.

He tells me He’s there, though I can’t see.

He talks of His love and great plans for me.

Oh yes, I know He’s there all the time,

I can feel His dear Presence, His grace so sublime.

Sometimes, if I neglect to commune with my Lord,

He reminds me and I begin again reading His Word.

How merciful, how wonderful, how compassionate is He,

To take notice, and be by my side constantly.

My Heavenly Father surely loves me.

As I listen attentively, He reassures and comforts, it’s then I see, how deep,

how sweet is His great love for me.
