O Lord, we know that with each passing day, Healing will come if we will seek you and pray, You see each sad heart and tear which is shed, You understand every hurt feeling and are also sad, Whatever events each new day may bring, Our hearts can feel peace and we can still sing. We know with you looking down from heaven's throne, We can have peace within and still stand strong. With each remembrance of those gone before, You speak comfort and say to us, "I am still the Door", Those who knew you as Lord have entered into their rest, Now they are in your presence to be eternally blessed. Thoughts for the future may focus on uncertain days, But we have you to lead and guide us along life's way. ** America now at the crossroads must look to you, our God, ** There is no other path in this land we now trod. You are the Lighthouse shining in the darkest night, You will guide each vessel in straight paths that are right, Though minds may be troubled and tossed on life's sea, You beckon to each heart and call, "just come unto me". Lives changed forever in a moment one tragic day, Now bow their heads in sadness, seek you and pray. Together we must join and unite by faith as one, Seek the Father for our Nation and be led by you, his Son. Healing is promised and comfort can be received, At the feet of you, our Saviour, if we will only believe.
