My New Eyes

To see the sky with unopened eyes
make the soul cringe, kinda wonder why?
To see the sky with newness of life
you've been given a gift, God took the strife

waking with thoughts of him makes you smile
as you sip coffee, thinking of your new lifestyle
Reading his word, Now listening to him
something rare in old days, and very slim

the music you hear in your heart so new,
God with you now, so much to do
forgiving and loving it's much more than that
taking time to hear him and stopping to "chat"

He loves me and I love him
this is not a passing whim
He throws his head back to let out laughter
Cause he knows we'll be together, forever & after.
