2016 was a rough year for just about everyone. We lost, loved, and enjoyed our families and we can all agree that the amount of celebrity losses was unprecedented. Celebrations around the nation happened, but not many were as good as the one in Music City.
Music City lived up to its moniker as acts like A Thousand Horses, Charlie Worsham, the city’s Fisk Jubilee Singers, rockers Moon Taxi and classic rock band Styx kicked off a night of entertainment that culminated with Keith Urban taking the stage in the city’s Bicentennial Mall.
According to rare country, With just an acoustic guitar, Keith honored the late Leonard Cohen, Glenn Frey, David Bowie, Merle Haggard and Prince. But it wasn’t just the tribute, the music or Keith that made the audience go bonkers. Keith’s wife, Nicole Kidman, came dancing onto the stage and the crowd lost their minds. She even stepped up to the microphone to sing a little bit with her man.
The performance is absolutely amazing and somehow Keith Urban makes me feel things I had never felt before. His ability to transform other people’s songs is amazing, and truly awe inspiring. With Keith’s performance the New Year has come and gone, but we all need to enjoy it again. Do you love Keith Urban?
