In
Tragedy's Wake
Author: Nell
Berry 9/15/01

Hearts are breaking, lives
torn apart, everything
is shaken, tempers are short. This heinous act of immeasurable grief,
committed by those, who hate our beliefs. We can only guess, we
can only surmise, what horrific consequences, in
the future lies. The terrible injustice,
the devastating toll, how can a human being exact
such a blow? To bring such destruction on
their fellowmen, is
unthinkable, unreasonable and cowardly of
them. Why can't we disagree without inflicting
such pain; just love our brother, though we
are not the same? In a world torn with hate
and so much division, we may one day blow
ourselves into oblivion. We need to take stock
of the situation, what are we doing to stop this abomination? We
need to put God back in His place, as
Creator, Redeemer, and
seek His face. God our Savior, knows what
to do, to Him we must turn, He's faithful and
true. In His Word, He says to love our
fellowman. To
love one another is the greatest command. If
you and I can put aside our differences, our
Heavenly Father promises forgiveness. All
things work together for good, if we love the Lord, He
will guide us and help us, He says in His Word. Lord
help us, we humbly pray, bless this land. We
ask you to keep us safe by your loving hand.
