God Today Devotions
March 27, 2008

Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
Mark 10:21

We all have dreams; dreams that God has placed within our hearts; dreams that appear impossible. It may be difficult for us to imagine how they will develop. God is not asking us to make the dreams come true; He is asking us to trust in Him each step of the way as He fulfills them within our lives. Believing that He is able to do above and beyond what we can think or imagine. He is our provider. We spend a lot of time and energy working to make our lives secure. God does not want us to live as paupers or live our lives irresponsibly, but He does want us to untangle our hearts from our money and wrap them around Him instead. He wants us to give to our fellow man, and help wherever and however we are able.

Prayer

I have dreams and I trust in You to bring them to pass in my life. What seems insurmountable to me is nothing for You. You desire my heart to trust in You, and I do, Amen.
