What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
Psalm 56:3

There are times when things happen in our lives, that causes fear to grip our souls. Typically when we feel the situation is out of control, panic sets in. God doesn’t want us to panic but to settle down, take it easy, relax and trust Him. There is nothing that He is incapable of handling; there is no force more powerful than He, or any circumstance that He is unable to change. He is attentive to every detail of our lives, and never caught un-aware. While we can’t prevent ourselves from feeling fear, when confronted with it, we have a choice to make, we can either tremble or we can trust. More important than the source of our fear, is our reaction to it. If we choose to trust in God, peace will flood our souls and panic and fear will cease. We are safe under His shadow.

Prayer

Lord, You know the fear I am confronted with, the panic that seems to consume my being. I give all of my fears to You and ask You to replace them with Your perfect peace. When fear comes suddenly into my life, I choose to turn to You, I will not be afraid but I will reach for your hand and find safety underneath Your shadow. Amen.
