Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Ephesians 6:10

Satan is very real, even though many attempts are made to formulate images of him in our minds that are fictional and even humorous. It is no laughing matter. The Bible says that at times he comes as an angel of light, appearing to be good but yet a very real enemy with a goal to destroy. He can only accomplish this with our participation. His game board is fear, and deception, and he preys on our weakness. It is true that in ourselves we may be weak, but we are not standing alone. The One who has conquered all our enemies, dwells within us. We need only to reach out and grasp God's hand, and tap into His resources, and we will receive new strength, and the ability to face our enemy without fear. The light of God's truth will serve to reveal all the deceptions. The real war is not one waged against our human enemies, but rather spiritual, and we can know that through Christ we are always more than conquerors.

Prayer

Our enemies are mighty, but we are not left without strength. Lord You have conquered the enemy and through Your strength, we are able to withstand any attack. Stir our hearts and wake us up to the real battle. Help us put on our armor and stand prepared to answer You, when You call on us. Light our path with Your word. We are playing according to Your rules, and with You Victory is certain. In Jesus name, Amen.
