You alone are
the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their
host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in
them, And You preserve them all.
Nehemiah 9:6
We call
out to God when we are in trouble, and He answers. The thing we
neglect to remember, is that He is God and we are not. We must be
willing to surrender our own ideas of how the situation should be
handled, and accept His will. The will of God is not something that we
naturally take to. Our flesh seems to oppose it every step of the way.
Through every experience, God desires to impart
His wisdom in our hearts and minds, and to lead us to His perfect
will, if only we will accept it. Accept it without seeing the end
results, and without knowing exactly what lies ahead. What we do many
times is refuse His answer, and then accuse Him of being silent; we
get angry, asking why, and blaming Him for failing us. God cannot
fail. He perfects all that He puts His hand to. He wants to perfect
His will in our lives, in every situation, and every relationship, if
we will allow Him to be God in our lives.
Prayer
You are God
Almighty, creator of all things. We surrender ourselves totally to you
today, accepting Your perfect will in each and every circumstance.
Forgive us for believing that we know better. We trust in You Lord,
You are faithful and cannot fail. Amen.
