Therefore He is
also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him,
since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
Jesus
understands us completely. There is no better comfort for our weary
souls, than what we can find in Him. We bury painful memories and
hurts from the past deep inside, but they are not content to remain
there. They make their way into our present. There is nothing so
deeply planted in our souls, that He does not have the ability to heal
and remove. When we can’t understand the source of the problem, or
even the words to pray, we can turn to Jesus. We may have made bad
choices in the past, but there is nothing so deeply planted in our
souls, that He does not have the ability to restore perfectly. He is
not the cause of our problems, but He is the master of them. If we
will give Him the opportunity, He will remove the pain at its source,
mending our hearts, and filling them with peace and joy once again.
Prayer
Lord when we are
at a loss for words, and we can’t understand, hear the prayer of our
hearts. We open them before You, broken and bruised, trusting that You
will restore and forgive. Dig deep into our souls and heal the hurt,
removing the memories and restoring us. Fill our hearts with Your
perfect peace and joy, and give us the wisdom to follow Your ways that
our lives may bring glory to You, in Jesus name, Amen.
