Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain
conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to
the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of
Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:3-5
Each time we show compassion, kindness, love and
understanding toward others we honor God. Meeting the needs of
others, above and beyond our own feelings and needs. It doesn’t
require a formal title, but this service is of great importance to
God. Being available and willing, day or night to answer a call for
help, spending time with the lonely, listening to those in distress,
and being willing to drop whatever we are doing to answer a higher
calling of service, making these Holy duties a priority in our
lives. Simply loving in the name of Jesus. What a joy not a task to
be in the service of our Lord.
Prayer
We make ourselves available for Your service
today. Let Your loving kindness shine through us to all, so that our
actions will speak Your love, louder than our words. What a joy and
an honor, to be in Your service. Amen.
