God Today Devotions 
April 4, 2003 

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Psalm 62:5

There are times when our lives seem so very ordinary. The adventures of our youth seem an eternity ago. As we have grown, so have our responsibilities and obligations. The reality that our lives may have turned out different than we may have expected, has sunk in. We may never become a fireman, or a rock star, but God certainly has a purpose and a place in this world for each of us. We should never stop believing for the unexpected. God has great plans for our future, and there are still new frontiers that He longs for us to discover. Even as we are maturing, we can still look to God with youthful expectation.

Prayer

Our expectation comes from You Lord. We place all of our hopes and dreams in Your hands. Remind us to never stop believing that our future is complete in You, and help us to keep our eyes wide open, expecting that You will continue to fulfill Your purpose in our lives. In Jesus name, Amen.
