God Today Devotions 
March 26, 2003 

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8

The Holy Spirit empowers us with ability and purpose. He gives us inward strength, which consumes every aspect of our lives, and reflects the fact that the Living God has made His home within our hearts. We can put forth great effort in promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ, using catch phrases and gimmicks, but our best effort cannot compare to the effectiveness of the supernatural ability of the Holy Spirit. It is not our words that convict hearts and change lives, but the power of His words and ability working through us.

Prayer

Holy Spirit fill us today, with Your power and wisdom. Let our words be an extension of Your love. We open our hearts to You and ask that You use us as vessels, to proclaim the truth of the Gospel of Peace to the world. In Jesus name we ask, Amen.
