You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the
first and great commandment. And the second is like it; you shall
love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all
the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 22:37
God loves and accepts us just as we are but is
not content to leave us that way. It is truly a miracle to witness
the tremendous changes God brings about within our hearts. Change
begins within and reveals itself outwardly. The key to unlocking
change begins within our obedience to these two commands. When we
refrain from what self desires, and humble ourselves in the
presence of God and man, laying down our defenses and our
importance at the feet of Jesus, our attitudes and hearts will
change. We are then able to fulfill God’s will daily as we
become submerged in His peace and love. Love never fails.
Prayer
We love you Lord. We choose daily to submit our
will to you. It is at your feet that we willing come. Fill us with
your love and allow it to spill over to the lives of all we come
in contact with. Help us to refrain from our selfish desires and
to love above all things. In Jesus name we ask. Amen.
