God Today Devotions

If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
Luke 9:23

At times we may feel as if God is a million miles away. We can’t feel His love or hear the sound of His voice. One thing we can be sure of is, that the breakdown in the relationship is not the result of God pulling away from us, but instead, because we have neglected our relationship with Him. God is always with us and is always faithful. Self-centeredness is usually at the root of the problem. We become so focused on us, that we lose site of God. When our eyes are fixed on God and concentrating on who He is, and His great love and faithfulness, we will find He has been there all the time.

Prayer

Help us to remain focused on You Lord. Forgive us for being so obsessed with ourselves, that we neglect our relationship with You and spending time daily in Your presence, soaking in Your love. Thank You for always loving us, and being faithful to us. Amen.
