Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow
will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own
trouble. Matthew 6:34
There are times we anticipate trouble before trouble comes. We waste
so much time anticipating what terrible things may lie in our future,
that we allow it to deprive us of our joy and peace today. All worry
is needless to those in Christ; it creates fear and unrest in our
hearts. Neither fear nor worry is of God. God desires us to give our
cares to Him and leave them with Him, trusting that He has the ability
to take care of them. We don't need to spend our days worrying about
tomorrow. We need to trust in our God. Regardless of what may or may
not come tomorrow, we can know that we are more than conquerors
through Christ, who gives us the strength and ability to do all
things. We can rest today in His Love, His ability, His promises and
His faithfulness.
Prayer
Fill our hearts with your perfect love. We place
all of our fears and anxieties about our future in your hands. Make us
strong, deepen our faith and help us to trust you completely. We know
that whatever we face, we will prevail through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thank you for your love and faithfulness. Amen.
