See I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse-the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your god and turn from the way that I command you today by following after other gods, which you have not known. Deuteronomy 11: 26-28 Looking for love in all the wrong places. Many of us spend our lives doing just that. We search for love and acceptance through many avenues, only to realize in the end, that they just don’t satisfy the deep need we have inside. The blessings in our lives are wonderful and we should thank God for them, but they are not our goal or our source of contentment. God wants more than anything to give us abundant life. An abundant life is not being lavished with material possessions. It is much richer and fuller than anything in this world. We all have a space that can only be filled by God, and we all have a choice to seek God and to follow after His will, obeying His voice or to turn away with empty and dissatisfied souls. He has provided for our every need, and given us more than we deserve, all that He desires is for us to love Him. Prayer Today we seek your face. It is You and You alone, that will satisfy the emptiness in our souls. Fill us to overflowing with riches beyond our wildest dreams. Riches and treasures that cannot fade with time, or be taken, but eternal treasures, that we can only find in the midst of your love. In Jesus name we ask. Amen.
