He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:21

Regardless of our past, present and future, when we accepted Jesus Christ as our savior, we became the righteousness of Christ. It is a good thing that we don’t have to depend on ourselves in order to be saved. The gift of salvation was, and is given to all, and any who will simply accept it. It’s not necessarily about what we know, but who we know. Jesus is our righteousness. He can be removed from our society, but no man has the ability to remove Him from our hearts. He dwells within us forever, and we are one with Him.

Prayer

Thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ Your Son. Through Him, we are righteous, and have been given a new life, with new hope. Let us be reminded today, of the price that was paid for our salvation. We certainly did not earn it, or deserve it, but freely you have given it to us. There is nothing that is able to snatch us from your hands. We are yours completely. Amen.
