Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand
of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time. There is a process by which our minds will and emotions learn to yield to spirit of God. It is a process that re-creates our hearts, so that our desires, and our will come in alignment with His. Our old way of thinking and the bondage that we may have lived in for years must be removed, so that God can create in us a pure heart. We lay our hearts open before Him and make a choice to let go of all the things that we have been gripping so tightly in our hands, and to submit to His will, and His authority, all the time trusting in His ability to bring change. When we feel we are at the bottom, we can be reminded that it is the mighty hand of God that is over us. We need not be impatient; there is no rushing God's work of perfection in us. Prayer Lord it is your will we desire, Help us to keep our eyes on you, and not to become impatient and run ahead assuming we know a better way. Create our hearts new so that our desires will become your desires. We lay our lives before you as a sacrifice; burn away all that hinders and all that we are clinging to that does not align with your perfect will. We give you all the praise. Amen.
