Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
Psalm 84:4

Endless hours we have spent, whining, worrying, being uptight, and angry, and becoming distracted from our course. None of us can afford to become, so absorbed in the temporal things that surround us, that we neglect the eternal. One day that trumpet will blow, and the clouds will burst open, as Jesus steps out and says to His children, it's time to come home. We certainly don't want to be so pre-occupied with what happened last week, what will happen next week, or what we are upset about today, that we fail to hear, to see, and to respond to the sound of His voice, as He calls us to come. It's time for us to wake up, preparing ourselves for the arrival of our Lord. Living each moment for Him, aware of His presence, and acknowledging and accepting, His love and truth.

Prayer

Lord, You are life to all that lives. It is your presence that we seek. We have experienced your love, we seek your truth. Wake us from our sleep. Help us to be prepared. Give us strength and wisdom, as we continue to wait, for the beautiful sound of the trumpet, calling us to be with you forever. Praise Your Holy Name! Amen!
