God Today Devotions
For I am the Lord who heals you. Most of the time when we read scriptures on healing we think about physical healing. But healing also applies to our broken hearts and wounded spirits. They are many that suffer with their hearts bleeding and wounded, but because their pain is not visible it is often ignored or simply overlooked. Our Churches are filled with broken hearts and wounded spirits that are afraid to reach out for the healing they so desperately need. They have lost their joy and their hope. When we are hurt physically we care for our wounds but have a greater tendency to think that our emotional pain will heal itself. God wants us to be both physically and emotionally healthy. If we reach out to Him in simple faith, we will find our complete healing in Jesus Christ. He will embrace us with His arms of love, and cleanse us from all the past hurt and sin, He restores our souls and with cords of love binds our broken hearts. Prayer Lord I need to be whole. I am reaching out to you today and ask that You heal the past hurts, restore my joy and my hope, wrap my wounds with cords of love and heal this broken heart. In Jesus precious name I ask Amen.
