When You said, "Seek My
face," My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will
seek."
Psalm 27:8
There never comes a time when we don't need God. We can't afford to find
ourselves in such a comfortable and secure place where we take our
relationship with God for granted. There is no one in this world that we
need more than God. Neglecting such an important and vital relationship
will surely make itself evident in our lives. In our contentment we may
find ourselves inattentive of our relationship with God. When the winds
become fierce, and the thunder and lightning is crashing down into our
lives we know where we can run, and God desires for us to run to Him
when there is trouble, but He also desires that we run to Him in the
midst of a cloudless sunny day as well. Our relationship with God,
requires us to move forward, no back peddling, no getting comfortable,
but constantly seeking, worshiping and building our relationship with
Him. Yesterday may have been unpleasant,
today has improved, and tomorrow is overflowing with new hope as we
continue to seek and follow Him.
Prayer
Thank you Lord for providing
all that we need. Forgive us for failing to appreciate all that we have
received from your hands and neglecting our relationship with you. We
have become so content, that we have forgotten our purpose. You are our
hope for life, fulfill your purpose in our lives today and offer us new
hope for tomorrow. Amen.
