God Today Devotions
If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any
comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any
tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being
like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. We all have our place in the body of Christ. Contrary to what many think, we are not all the head, some of us are feet, toes, hands, eyes, etc. We need to be satisfied, wherever God has placed us in the body and with where He has placed others. It doesn't matter whether you are Baptist, Catholic, Pentecostal, Methodist; Episcopalian, Mennonite; Presbyterian, or if you have no affiliations with any religious organization, if you love Jesus and accepted Him into your life you are a part of the body. Every single person in the body of Christ, is essential. There needs to be much more time and energy spent, elevating one another instead of annihilating parts, that by our own estimation do not fit. Who are we, to determine who, when, where and how God chooses to use others? Not one person in the body of Christ is expendable, no matter where they came from or what their appearance, denominational affiliation or nationality. We are one in Christ, whether we like it or not we are family, brothers and sisters in Christ. It is past time for us to come together, as one body, with one mind, in Christ Jesus our Lord. Together, in Christ, we will bust wide open, the gates of hell. Satan is our enemy, the war is with him, not one another. Prayer Forgive us for our prejudice and the pain we inflict on one another. Open our eyes Lord, that we may see with your eyes, the beauty and purpose you have created in each one. We stand united, in you and your word. Teach us to be like you and let our lives be a testimony of your love, through our love for each other. Amen. To subscribe to the GodToday
