I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Psalm 32:8

One moment we can be extremely excited about what God is doing in our lives and the next find our joy suddenly shattered, when the path we have been happily following, appears to be taking a wrong turn, away from our destination. We set ourselves up for disappointment, when we take our eyes off Jesus. It doesn't matter what the path may look like, or where it is leading us, if we trust in our guide, we can know that we will safely reach our destination. He leads us the perfect way and at the perfect time. If we begin looking to find our own way, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment, which will take us where we don't want or need to go. We are His treasure and He will never leave us stranded or unattended. If we find ourselves getting ahead of God and on the wrong path, we need only to turn around and return to our guide. There is nothing good He will keep from us.

Prayer

I choose to follow You. Help me to remain focused on you and not all the obstacles along the path. You are my trusted guide and I know that you will not keep anything that is truly good from me. Wherever you lead me I am willing to go. Thank you for your constant care. Amen.
