Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Jeremiah 33:3

Most of us have experienced one-sided conversations. When you can immediately detect that the other party is uninterested, or simply not listening. Then there are those who do all the talking and there is no room for a reply. It is frustrating to say the least. Sometimes this is exactly the way our conversations with God take place. We certainly make the time to speak our minds and then we are anxious to go about the business of our day, leaving His presence without listening for His reply. We ask and we seek, but when the door is opened, we walk away. God is not looking for fancy words, but a yielded and sincere heart, desiring to converse with Him.

Prayer

Forgive us Lord, for being so easily distracted, that we turn away, before hearing what you want to speak to us. We thank you, for the opportunity to come into your presence and to share our hearts, our hopes and dreams. We thank you, that you hear each prayer and send the answer, before we are finished asking. You are good Lord and we desire to know more of you and your ways. Speak to us Lord, we are listening. Amen.
