How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
Psalm 139:17

None of us like to be alone. We go to great lengths to avoid it, filling every minute of our day with one thing or another, not giving ourselves the opportunity to be alone with our thoughts; our God or ourselves. But being alone can lead us to a place where we are able to totally abandon everything and give ourselves totally to God, causing us to rely on Him as our companion. In the times when we are alone we are more apt to hear his voice and respond. When we can't run to a friend, or a spouse, He is always there for us. He wants to have intimate time with us. As in any relationship you need time to communicate and spend time just being with that person. It is the same with God. He wants to hang out with us, He wants us to learn more of Him, and He wants to be included in all that is happening in our lives. Whether we realize it or not we are precious in the site of God. He is waiting for us to come to cry on His shoulder, or share our problems, or just talk with Him, and thank Him for all He is to us. His love is greater than we can imagine . There is no relationship in our life that is more important than our relationship with our Creator.

Prayer

You are my God, my Savior, my friend, my companion, my counselor, the lover of my soul. Forgive me for neglecting to spend time with you, of all of my relationships yours is the most important. I long to know you more. When I am grown up I want to be just like you. I am looking forward to my alone time with you. Thank you for being my all and changing my life forever. Amen
