God Today Devotions
My soul thirsts for God, for the living
God. It is difficult for us to grasp and understand just how much God loves us. The door is open and He is welcoming us into His presence, with His arms open wide. Much of our lives, we search for perfect love and acceptance. There is a longing deep within our hearts, that no one can satisfy but God. There are many who are experts in theology, doctrines, and religions. They have gained a great deal of knowledge about God but it does not compare to knowing God. To know Him, is to love Him. To know Him, is to have your world completely changed, turned upside down. There is no greater education we can receive, than through the lessons we will learn while on life’s journey with Him. Lessons we learn day by day, as we lay aside our will and follow His. Living our lives in the presence of Almighty God, is an experience not easily forgotten. Learning to accept the lessons through the pain and the joy of life, is all a part of, experiencing and knowing God. Prayer Lord I desire to know more of you, not simply about you. It is you that my soul is searching for and nothing else will satisfy. Teach me your ways; give me wisdom to follow the way you have chosen for me. Wherever you are Lord, is where I desire to be. Thank you for loving me and accepting me, just as I am. Amen.
