God Today Devotions
You did not choose me, but I chose
you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. The majority of the population lives, for the most part, without being recognized or noticed for what they contribute to the world. We notice the ones who are in the limelight, the ones who have been successful at being noticed, but each life is significant. God the creator of all that has been created has chosen us. He not only chose us but also enables us to do extraordinary things. Our lives have an eternal impact that can make a difference between life and death, heaven and hell. We have a responsibility to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, sharing His love and mercy, His goodness and truth. He isn't seeking some unusual or special talent. He is seeking a willing, heart that will allow Him to enable it to accomplish great things. A heart that is willing to lose to win and that is willing to be a mirror of the Spirit of God to the world. Prayer Speak your truth to my heart Lord. I thank you for choosing me and making me special. Allow your Holy Spirit to bring your word alive in my heart. Help me to live Your truth and to share it daily. Consume my life Holy Spirit, light a fire that burns deep within my soul so brightly that it will overshadow all else. Amen.
