For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:10

Life has many options for us and there are many choices we make everyday. From what we eat, to how we act. We live in a time of abundance. When you think about life in other times and even other cultures we aren't lacking. Most have what they need. It is what we want that causes us to lose our balance. We have a tendency to over indulge. Even some of the best things in life can turn sour when over done. The more we have, the more we desire. Sometimes we need to be reminded that we are servants of God and that all we do is for Him. It isn't the "stuff" we obtain that will make us happy, and our love for the "stuff" will destroy us.

Prayer

Father forgive us for becoming obsessed, spoiled children, always wanting more or what we cannot have. Remind us of our purpose and who we are. Let us be content with what we have and count our blessings. You are our provider. You see to our every need and we thank you. Amen.
