God Today Devotions
Now, the Lord is
the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom. We thank God for the countless undeserved blessings we have received from His hand. As we celebrate this Fourth of July we need to especially thank God for blessing our nation. It is only by His grace and mercy that we stand. As we honor the men and women who have won and maintain our freedom we also should give glory and honor to Jesus Christ the one who won everyone's freedom from sin and death. Every good gift comes from Him and that includes our freedom. Certainly this Independence Day as we celebrate our freedom we also celebrate and commit ourselves to Jesus Christ the founder of hope, joy, life, love, and liberty. While there were mistakes made throughout our history we can still be proud to be Americans and the testimony of a nation that was built upon the principals of God Almighty and prospered because of it. Prayer Thank you Lord for freedom, you are our foundation and in you we have hope and joy. We pledge our allegiance to you. It is by your strength that we stand. Breathe fresh life into our nation, remind us why we are so blessed. Reveal your wisdom to our hearts. Forgive us for forgetting. Continue to bless us and guide us with your light. Amen.
