Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God; thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Psalm 143:10

God does not promise us that the road He leads us down will be easy. The truth is that many times the rough road is the exact way He chooses for us to travel. He doesn't get pleasure from watching us suffer but He knows which road will better equip us for what lies ahead. Soldiers endure rigorous training before entering into battle. They don't whine and complain, they are aware that in order to survive the intensity of the battlefield that they must be properly equipped and prepared. God will not send us into the heat of a battle without first properly training and preparing us. If we can't meet the challenges in training we will never make it to the front lines. We will face battles in life and must be willing to endure the training without whining and complaining all the while remembering that God is properly preparing us for what He has designed for our lives.

Prayer

Keep my feet firmly planted on the path you desire. I trust in where you are taking me; and your ability to equip me for all that lies ahead. I can surely do all things as you give me the strength. Forgive my whining and complaining; I desire to be a good soldier equipped for the battle and ready to stand. Amen
