God Today Devotions For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Christianity is not an exclusive association to be shared only with those who meet our criteria. God loves the entire world. He sent His Son for all. We are all sinners and the advantage we have as Christians, is that we have believed and accepted God's precious gift of grace and mercy. The only thing Holy and righteous about us is Jesus Christ living in us. The only changes that have been made in our lives are the ones He has made and continues to do as He creates us to be perfect, holy, righteous, and acceptable to Him. Sometimes we all need to take a glance back in time and reflect on where we were then and where we are now and appreciate once again the love that lifted us up. As we have received so we should give. We have an obligation to share the truth we have been shown to all. We can't force anyone to accept the message of truth; it is a personal choice for each one to make. Each one of us will stand before God, He will not require us to give an account for everyone else, but we will be required to account for the choices we made and what we did or didn't do with what we received. Prayer Father forgive us for our attitudes of self-righteousness. That we
somehow think we have arrived and we are better than others. You sent
your Son Jesus for all; from the most elite to the most despicable. You
love them all and desire them to know you. Restore a fire and passion in
our souls that we may live our lives with you as our focus, that we
would not hide the light within us but share it with all those who
desperately need to hear your words of truth and hope, those who are
brokenhearted, sick, hurting, and lost. I remember where you brought me
from and I am forever in your service. Send me; use me; live through me.
Amen.
