God Today Devotions This is the day the Lord
has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Living in the fast lane has become a socially acceptable lifestyle today. We believe our day must be full for us to be fulfilled. Many times our day is spent running from place to place and attempting to fill each moment with activities. It leaves us at the end of the day so exhausted that we miss experiencing the simple joys of life. We don't pencil in time to laugh, to play, or to rest. Once the day is past we can't re-live it. Just as it is important to be productive and to be satisfied with the work we have accomplished it is just as important for us to take time to rest and experience the joy of love, laughter and life. While it is important to be productive and to feel satisfied with the work of our day it is equally important for us to rest and enjoy the simple things we so easily take for granted in the midst of a chaotic day. God has given us the ability to love and to laugh and to enjoy life. If we take time to rest and laugh we will find that the rest of our day much more peaceful no matter what it holds. Prayer We commit the day to you
Jesus. Help us to slow down and to take the time to enjoy all the many
blessings and joys you have given us. Life apart from you is not life at
all. Today we rest in your hope and enjoy your blessings, Thank you.
