Wherefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.
Romans 15:7

Everyone is a work in progress. It would be great if we could all truly grasp this simple truth and view others as an un-finished work of God's hand. Instead, many times we seek only the negative when we should be in search of the areas that have been completed. What joy and peace of mind we will experience when we let go of our contempt and at times even disgust with one another and allow God's peace and love to fill our hearts and our actions. Each life is priceless and the possibilities endless in the hands of Almighty God. If we could begin to see others through His eyes we will find our hearts and attitude's changing and as a result the way we respond and connect with others will also. We will find ourselves living not simply seeking our own joy and happiness in this world, but seeking to place the needs of others above our own and learning to become a servant of God.  It is a continual choice we make to either look at what could be through Christ or what we see with our human eyes. We are not expected to turn a blind eye to sin but to seek what is good and demonstrate love and compassion towards others as they face the struggles and challenges along the way.

Prayer

I thank you for the good work you are doing in my life and the lives of others. Let us continue to grow in greater knowledge of you and your truth. We thank you for the un-deserving mercy we have been shown and pray that you will fill our hearts with your love and compassion for all who are hurting and struggling. Allow us to see through your eyes of love. Surround our lives with your perfect peace that you may be glorified through them. Amen.
