 But
now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
Believing a lie is much simpler than believing the truth. It
affords us the opportunity to evade the truth. The truth honestly
examines our motives, our hearts, our actions, and for most of us the
results are a need for change. Change doesn't come easy and isn't always
welcomed, but if we would be willing to face the truth and elude the
lies we will certainly benefit. Change is unknown territory and can be
frightening to say the least but if we aren't willing to face truth and
allow God to make vital and necessary changes we will continue walking
the path of the lie, undernourished and blinded in our spiritual growth.
God never expects us to step into change without Him leading the way. We
can embrace the truth trusting Him as the potter to create His clay into
perfection with His compassionate hands carefully arranging each detail.
Our human nature and its passions are constantly working to draw us away
from the truth but if we will choose to take hold of God's hand and walk
in the light of His truth we will continue to flourish. Seeking truth
will set us free.
Prayer
We embrace your truth today
and desire that you make the necessary changes in us. You are the Potter
and we trust the work of your hands. You are our compassionate and
loving Father and we praise you! Amen.
