Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day, but I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
Psalm 71:14

There are days when I seem to have a cloud hanging over my head that I can't seem to escape. It can be a bright sunny day and still this dark cloud lingers. I complain about everything and grumble at everyone and certainly am not experiencing the joy of the Lord throughout my day.  The enemy delights when I have days like these, but fortunately I have found that they can be overcome and my day transformed by simply praising God. Although I certainly don't feel like it; I find that in the midst of my praise the cloud begins to disband. My soul regains a song and my heart fills with joy, I become alert and able to fulfill God's will for my day. God takes the gloominess and exchanges it with joy; my worry is exchanged with peace, and my frustration with love.

Prayer

My heart sings praises to You my God. You are more than worthy of my praise. When gloominess attempts to take over my day I will praise and honor you. Your are hope, peace, joy, love, You are my all. No matter how I may feel, I will praise you more and more. Amen.
