God Today Devotions If any of you lack wisdom, let
him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and
it shall be given him. Sometimes we make hasty and as a result foolish decisions, many times in the name of God, unfortunately not always with the approval of God. We can be assured that when God commissions us to do something He will provide the means to do it. His way is perfect. Our hasty decisions only complicate matters causing chaos and confusion. In the midst of the mess we can attempt to rationalize scripture or the situation so that it suits our purpose but it is in vain. Most all of us have made poor choices at one time or another. The best way for us to handle a bad choice is first admit it and then ask God for His wisdom and direction. It's odd how we will more quickly ask the advice of a friend before seeking the advice of the Creator of the universe. We are sometimes like a child that becomes a little over zealous and runs ahead only to find trouble and quickly return to his parents. Whenever we run ahead of God we can know that we can just as quickly run to Him asking for Him to direct us once more. Prayer I know that I have made a mess
at times and caused problems when I have run ahead on my own and did not
wait to hear from you. Today I run to you and ask that you give me
wisdom to make sound decisions and to teach me your way so that I may
understand and walk in your truth and your statutes. Amen
