Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy mind. People create many excuses for their behavior. They want to be happy. If something or someone does not make them happy they are expendable. This kind of thinking seems to dominate our society today. Personal fulfillment and happiness takes precedent over all else. God's priority for our lives is not to simply make us happy but to make us holy. He is creating us in his image. The more we become like Him the more He becomes our joy and our happiness. The only way we can find true fulfillment is through Him. His love controls and motivates us. He died for us and saved us that we might serve Him with our lives. The more we fall in love with Jesus the more we will desire to share that love with others. When a person falls in love with another person it dominates their thoughts. They want to share it with everyone. That is the way it should be for us when we fall in love with Christ. He should dominate our thoughts, our heart and our speech. We will want to share the treasure we have found with others. Prayer Thank you for loving me. I love you with all my heart and all my soul. I desire a passionate, intimate relationship with you. You are the love of my life; without you it is empty. Continue to create me more and more in your image each day. Help me to share with others that have never experienced the beauty and depth of your love. Amen.
