Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.
2 Corinthians 1:9

Most of us have witnessed times when evil appears to win over good and the things that are wrong are perceived as right.  Injustice from hands without hesitation or repercussion.  There are those that would be quick to point their finger at God and accuse Him of not preventing or intervening.  I wonder if these same ones are just as quick to give God the credit and the glory for all that is good.  How often do we bother to thank Him for the sunrise, and another beautiful day?  We make assumptions about God with a very limited knowledge and understanding. There are boundaries to our capabilities of thought and understanding.  We make decisions with clouded reasoning and emotion but God sees and understands clearly and makes His decisions based on His entire character and His word.  Some would say,  " A loving God would not allow such things".  God is love and He is also Sovereign, holy, wise, and just.  His decisions are made from all of His characteristics.  It is easy for some to kick back and live their lives ignoring God until a tragedy or injustices occurs and then begin blaming Him for not preventing it. God is always in control and if we are following His itinerary we can trust that our lives are also under His divine and loving care. We can't stop what He sets in motion neither can we can set in motion what He stops.   We may not always understand the why and what for, but we can always trust in the complete and perfect character of our God.

Prayer

Teach us to trust you Lord, give us wisdom to understand that you are in control of every situation. Help us to see your hand working and to know beyond doubt that we are loved are cared for. We praise you for the day, for each sunrise and every breath we take. You are our God and in You we place our trust. Amen.
