When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple.
Jonah 2:7

There are times it seems we try to ignore the sound of God's voice and run away. It doesn't matter where we attempt to run, we will find our souls sinking into hopelessness, because there is no where we can escape His presence. We can't allow our troubles to shut out our hope. There are many times the flesh is weak. It is easier to run away, but never better. Ignoring our weakness and frailties, will not bring about change. Change will come in our lives, if we will with sincere hearts, seek God. When we find ourselves in a difficult place, our first response should be to pursue Him, not run from Him. God is a preserver of life and when we are falling, we can count on His hand reaching out towards us and giving us the strength to stand again. If we will stop running and remember God, our faith will be renewed. He is God when we fall and God when we stand. He is God in every circumstance.

Prayer

When our souls are fainting we remember You. You hear the cry of our hearts. Your hand reaches to save us wherever we may be. You are God in every circumstance. When we run into trouble we will run to You. Strengthen us according to Your word. Amen.
