I am the light of the world. He
who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.
John 8:12
The Earth was covered in darkness and God breathed life into it and shed
His light upon it. When sin entered the world, darkness once again
entered. But God's love for us was greater than the temptation, and the
darkness. His love brought to us perfect love. Jesus Christ brought life
and light back into the world. He changes the hearts and lives of men.
His love reveals the darkness and overcomes it. He conquered death and
the grave and brought hope peace, joy and life everlasting. If we will
continue to walk in obedience to His word and hide it in our hearts, He
will be our guide through the storms of life, no matter how intense they
may become. We can know with certainty they will pass. Jesus has walked
through this life and understands our temptations, our pain, our
heartaches and our joys. With Him as our guide, circumstances in life no
longer dictate the outcome. Jesus Christ is the hope of the world. He is
the peace. He is the joy. He is the answer that all mankind is searching
for.
Prayer
Thank You for being the light that leads me through every dark
circumstance. Give me wisdom to walk in obedience to Your word and
reveal Your truth and will to my heart. Keep my feet firmly planted on
the path that eliminates the darkness. You are my hope, my joy and my
peace. Thank You for loving me so. Amen.
