And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
Matthew 6:7

Sometimes we treat prayer as if it were a production or performance. When we go before God in prayer, we are not on stage. The best words we can present to God, are directly from our heart. We can speak to Him, as if He were right beside us, with ease. He isn’t listening for perfect, well thought out words, but a simple conversation. He is so very aware of our thoughts, and knows our hearts better than anyone. We can speak to Him, knowing that He is listening, He is answering, and He is there, desiring our company, in His presence. What an honor and privilege, to enter into the Holy Presence of Almighty God, and share our hearts, with all of its frustrations, troubles, hopes and dreams.

Prayer

I praise You, for allowing me the opportunity to come into Your presence. Thank You for understanding and allowing me to share my heart with You. You are the answer, regardless the problem. I trust in Your word and Your counsel, there is none like You. Amen.
