Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

The cure for a heavy heart, is the presence of Almighty God. There is nothing in this life that is more fulfilling, or precious than the time we spend seeking His face and laying every problem and care at His feet. When we attempt to carry our burdens, we can end up consumed by our troubles and spending endless hour’s wallowing in a pool of self-pity. God is surely not edified, when we act in such a way. He invites us to bring all of our cares to Him, releasing them to Him, as we immerse ourselves in Him. He will speak comfort and wisdom to our hearts. Life will continue to have its problems and disappointments, but we can be assured our God is never annoyed by us, and always ready to listen and lighten our load, replacing it with joy beyond comprehension; perfect peace; a place to rest and to be renewed with a new sense of self worth and purpose; a healing hand to sooth our wounds, and hope that will lead us into tomorrow.

Prayer

Forgive me for feeling sorry for myself, and my feeble attempts to handle my problems on my own. I thank You for the opportunity to come to You with my cares and place them at Your feet. Your presence is a sanctuary for my soul. I rest in You, as You replace my cares with a refreshed spirit, a renewed mind, perfect peace, and unspeakable joy. You are my love, my life, my hope, and my all. Amen.
