And we have
known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who
abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16
God is love; He is the beginning and the end of all things. He is the
reason that we live. In Him we find true love. Until we know Him, we
can’t possibly know true love. Love is an over-used and underestimated
word. Until we build a relationship with Love Himself, we don’t have the
ability to love others. If we will submit our hearts to His love, we
will find, as they change so will our relationships. There are some who
don’t have a special someone in their life; they feel alone and possibly
rejected. Yet they are anything but that. God is the ultimate lover of
our souls, our First Love. He is the giver of all good things. The power
of His love is amazing and it can never fail. Even if we are blessed to
have that “special someone” in our life, if we don’t have God, we are
lacking. Our relationships will grow and continue to thrive, when they
are placed under the banner of true Love.
Prayer
You have opened Your arms and embraced my heart with Your great love; It
will never be the same. I thank You for each relationship in my life,
but You are my first love, the One my heart aches for, the One I can’t
live without. With You I know that I will never truly be alone. I commit
myself to You and cling to Your everlasting love. Thank You! Amen.
