God Today Devotions

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6

God is most certainly on our side. Others may look at our life and us and say, "They will never amount to anything". It's all too easy, to allow the attitudes and words of others to hinder us from accomplishing what God says that we can and from becoming what He wants us to be. Refuse to allow their perception to cloud your view. Instead remain focused on God, listening, and trusting in His love and wisdom. Our lives don't mirror this world, but are being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. When you feel rejected, or labeled just remember, God usually chooses the most unlikely to accomplish the greatest things and He begins right where you are and knows exactly how to help you reach the finish line.

Prayer

Thank You Lord for the work You are doing in my life. I know that You will bring me to the finish line completed and transformed. Help me today to shed the words and attitudes of others and to cling to Your words and Your way. Create my heart and life new. In You I find my acceptance, my joy, my strength my life. Amen.
