Who hath saved
us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but
according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ
Jesus before the world began.
2 Timothy 1:9
Have you ever felt as if you were living within a hostile environment?
That all those around you, not only oppose you, but take every action
available to them, to prevent you from completing your mission? I
imagine that Noah felt much the same way. He spent years preaching to a
people who opposed, scorned, mocked and attempted to discourage Him, in
every way, from the mission that had been laid before him. His absolute
abandonment to God’s will, overrode his skeptics; the seed of faith
planted within his heart, would not allow him to deviate from his
mission. His obedience to God allowed peace to reign within his soul;
all of his fears and doubts were driven out. He gave all of himself to
God and allowed the door to be left wide open to receive all that God
wanted to deposit within him. In total abandonment and trust in our God,
we will find perfect peace and rest for our souls, as well as the
strength and joy to fulfill His purpose and bring our mission in life to
completion.
Prayer
We open the door of our souls and ask that You fill them to overflowing,
with the faith, strength and joy that will allow us to complete the
mission You have laid before us. We give all the praise and glory to You
Lord, knowing You are able to do beyond what we can think or imagine,
because of Your great power that is at work within our lives. Amen.
