Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lamp stand from its place. Revelation 2:5

Many of us have grown up in the Church or hearing the word of God, and have over the years allowed our ears to become dull to the truth. We have heard the same catchy clichés repeatedly, and have forgotten the real meaning of the words, forgiveness, love, obedience, and repentance. Sadly many of us have fallen into a deep slumber. We have drifted but we are not out of His reach. Yes, we need revival, we need restored, and awakened, and it will begin within each individual heart, Each one of us making a decision that we are no longer interested in playing the game, but desire to seek and embrace that which is real, the truth of Jesus Christ. We need more than religion; we need to meet Jesus face to face, and heart to heart, allowing Him to transform these tired, wandering souls of ours. Sure we look good on the outside, but when the inside is rotting away, it will eventually make its way to the visible surface. It’s time to get on our face before our God, completely turning away from the sin we have grown so comfortable with, seeking God’s mercy, dedicating ourselves to pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Realizing all we are and have belongs to God.

Prayer

Lord, we come before You today with broken and repentant hearts seeking Your mercy. Our hearts confess that we have fallen asleep, Wake us Lord! Pour Your Spirit upon us, immerse us in Your truth and love. Lord, You have never turned away from a repentant, seeking soul. We ask You to forgive, restore, renew and empower us today. Re-ignite the light within us. We give You all the praise! In Jesus name we ask, Amen.
