To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

This year has been a very mild winter in our immediate area. We have seen very little snow and none of those below zero days. For that we are thankful. Even though the winter has been mild I find myself more and more longing for the season to change and Spring and Summer to arrive. The closer it gets the more I anticipate the green grass, budding trees and flowers, the smell after a spring rain, and the warmth of a summer breeze.   There is nothing I can do or say that will cause Spring and Summer to arrive immediately, I have to wait for the change of season. It is the same with the Seasons of our lives. Sometimes we have to wait. We wait on God all the while anticipating the  sweet smell of the rain and the fresh breeze. God's promises are true and He is faithful yet there is a time and purpose for everything and as difficult as it is to wait we can look forward to the day when the seeds that have been planted in the fall will grow into the beautiful flowers of Spring.

Prayer

Lord I will be cheerfully content as I wait for the season in my life to change. I will not complain but will anticipate the spring and the joys of summer. Thank you for your faithfulness. I will trust and wait on you in every season of my life. Amen.
