Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Isaiah 49:16

Rejection by people will always happen. There will always be some that don't seem to fit the so called normal category that society proclaims they should. God does not make misfits, each one is created differently yet perfectly as He has intended.  We spend much of our lives trying to be like someone we are not. Jesus completely understands what it feels like to experience the rejection and all of the anxiety, frustration, anger and loneliness that comes with it. He experienced all of these emotions and He understands our pain when we are rejected or categorized as a misfit. But Jesus remained true to who He was. We must do the same being assured that God will never reject us and always sees us in the light of His perfect creation.  He will always embrace us with His love and care and that love will always see us through. With Jesus we are free to be ourselves, the us that He created. His expectations are different than man's. The pain of rejection is all too real, a wife who husband has turned his back on her, a child rejected by their parents, being shunned by classmates. Whatever the circumstance we can praise God for making us perfectly.  All throughout the Bible and history itself reveals that God used the so called misfits to accomplish the greatest things.

Prayer

I Praise you Lord for your everlasting love, for creating me exactly how you intended. In your presence all barriers are removed and I can be exactly what you have created me to be.  When I feel abandoned, lonely, forsaken or rejected I rest in your immeasurable and constant love, that will never leave me or forsake me. I rejoice in the hope and glory of You. Amen.
