Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your
peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the
waves of the sea.
Isaiah 48:18
God desires more from us than a portion of our hearts and lives. He
wants it all. Sometimes we get caught up in all that we are doing for
God that we forget about Him and His will. We spend endless hours
working and quickly become exhausted and burned out. Before we can even
recognize it our service to God becomes about programs, agenda's, etc.
It is more of a worry that a joy to serve Him. The reality is that
all that we do is about God, not about our cool ideas, and what we would
like to see happen, it is about God's will being carried out in our
lives. It is time to let Him have control again and to simply take a
step back into His arms and remember how His love drenched our souls
when we first met Him, and our every thought was about pleasing Him. How
we trusted so completely in His word and His promises. We are human and
it is hard sometimes to make our human side take a back seat and allow
the Spirit of God to have total control. He is our Lord, our King, we
serve Him and His way is always the best way.
Prayer
I am stepping back to your arms Jesus. I
remember the love, the joy , the peace in serving you and submitting to
your will. Your ways are perfect. Give me wisdom, and strength to
set aside my own thoughts and plans and allow Your Spirit to direct my
every move. I surrender all to you and trust in your love and wisdom to
see me through all things. I love you with all of my heart and my
soul. You are my Lord, You are my King!
Amen.
